Amato is a seasoned, passionate, action-oriented executive with an excellent performance record and highly successful entrepreneurial accomplishments, with proven expertise in areas of sales training, marketing, and management and leadership development.

His career has spanned 27 years with Xerox, the global multinational in the field of office technology and managed services. Initially with Xerox Canada, based in Montreal, and then North York, Ontario, he transferred to Xerox USA, Boston, Mass.  Where he was Vice-President and General Manager, Sales Operations and then
Senior Vice President and General Manager, North American Operations Group.

Having successfully led large and complex sales operations divisions, Amato is today a self-made entrepreneur, who has founded two separate companies and, within a short time, has made them both market leaders in their respective fields.

One of these companies is JTX (Journey to Excellence), a high end and well-respected business advisory
and consultancy firm which helps clients improve performance and achieve sales operational excellence.

The other is Wine Awakenings, a provider of wine aroma kits which is used to develop one’s own unique taste
profile for wine. It is an advanced wine and spirits education method renowned for being the first and only such tool available to the marketplace both for personal development and professional accreditation purposes.

He recently purchased an artisanal urban winery, National Wines, which produces additive-free and additive-reduced wines, using different yeasts, oaks and altering timelines in their natural fermentation facilities. Using the Wine Awakenings aroma assessment tools, the winery expert staff can personalize a wine to match one’s exact preferences while respecting the natural characteristics of the varietal of choice.

Amato has a B.A. Marketing, with a Major in Communication Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, QC and an Executive MBA from Queen’s University in Kingston, ON. He is Six Sigma certified, fully bilingual, and a graduate of The Center for Creative Leadership (CCL, Greensboro, NC) Executive Leadership Development Program.
